Hong Kong SAR passport holders may now visit the Republic of Angola and the Kyrgyz Republic without a visa for up to 30 days, the Immigration Department announced on Thursday.

The department said the Angolan government notified the SAR that its passport holders may visit the country visa-free for a stay of up to 30 days and a maximum stay of 90 days per year.

Meanwhile, the government of Kyrgyzstan has also confirmed that SAR passport holders entering through Manas International Airport in Bishkek with return tickets are permitted to enter and remain in the country for up to 30 days without a visa. Visa-free re-entry will also be entertained 30 days after their departure.

A department spokesman said Kyrgyzstan and Angola are participants in the Belt & Road Initiative, with the visa-free arrangements bringing greater travel convenience, and strengthening tourism, cultural and economic ties between the places.
