In a bid to explore avenues for strengthening ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kyrgyz Republic, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, led a delegation from the UAE on a diplomatic visit.

The high-level delegation, spearheaded by Minister Al Mazrouei, arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic with the primary objective of fostering cooperation across various sectors. Upon their arrival, they were received by Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting, held in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Al Arqi, UAE’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Non-Resident Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, laid the groundwork for discussions on strengthening collaboration, with a particular focus on renewable energy, transportation, and logistics services.

During his visit, Minister Al Mazrouei also engaged in talks with Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. Furthermore, Minister Al Mazrouei held a meeting with Taalaibek Ibrayev, the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic. This meeting underscored the UAE’s keen interest in expanding relations in the energy sector, especially in the realm of renewable energy. Notably, the UAE’s Masdar has shown an interest in investing in renewable energy projects within the Kyrgyz Republic.
