Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov has signed the country’s first legal act on the development of telemedicine, the Ministry of Health press service said Thursday. The adopted act regulates the rules for the use of telemedicine technologies in medical aid by healthcare organizations, or persons providing private medical services by using telemedicine technologies, it said. In accordance with the act, telemedicine technologies can be used for the purposes of prevention, collection, diagnosis, evaluation of the effectiveness of diagnostic and treatment measures, monitoring the patient’s health status and so on. Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji, and Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash accompanied the first vice president, Mohammad Mokhber on his trip to Kyrgyzstan to attend the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States. During this trip, they met and held talks with the ministers of energy and transport of this country at the request of the Kyrgyz side. An appeal by Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov to international partners and financial development institutions to help his impoverished country transition to a green economy by ploughing external debt of around $4.2bn into green initiatives appears to have got nowhere. The portfolio of joint investment projects with the state member of the Commonwealth of Independent States exceeds $25 billion, he President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a speech at a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State, Trend reports. The direct flights are soon expected to connect Kyrgyzstan with resort cities in Egypt and Vietnam, Timur Aralbayev, the Director of Commerce at Kyrgyzstan’s Manas International Airport Company, said, Trend reports.
