The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Kyrgyzstan in October, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission said following the extraordinary meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council that was held in Armenia’s Tsaghkadzor on 24-25 August, BelTA informs.
“Members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council discussed ways to deepen integration within the EAEU and strategic development vectors for the union in the medium and long term. Earlier, in his address to the heads of member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin proposed to start developing a long-term strategy for the EAEU in 2023. The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on 26-27 October,” the EEC said in a statement.
The meeting in Armenia was attended by the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union member states – Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, as well as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich.
