The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus in Geneva. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The parties discussed issues of further cooperation on the development of the healthcare sector of the republic. Jeenbek Kulubaev proposed to focus on expanding the potential of primary health care, creating a centralized database, increasing the resilience of Kyrgyzstan to emergencies, strengthening the prevention of non-communicable diseases and coronavirus.
Tedros Ghebreyesus noted that the World Health Organization would help the country with the implementation of priority tasks in the development of the healthcare system.
The head of WHO was invited to visit Bishkek at any time convenient for him.
